2nd European Nanomanipulation Workshop
The event will take place at Dorpat Conference Center in Tartu, Estonia.
A joint forum of scientists active in the field of controlled manipulation of atoms, clusters, and nanoscale objects using scanning probe or related techniques. The scope of the workshop includes:
- Basic techniques of manipulation
- Theoretical description of manipulation processes
- Applications ranging from nano- and mesoscale friction
- Approaches for automated nano-object assembly
FANAS project partners will present recent results and invited speakers will bring new contributions. Other participants can apply for financial support. The scientific committee is responsible for the acceptance of contributed talks.

1st European Nanomanipulation Workshop
The workshop had been held at the Hotel Baía in Cascais, Portugal, in the framework of the EUROCORE-FANAS research program. This meeting was organized under the same spirit of the ESF-NANOTRIBO workshops (2002 Portovenere, 2003 Antalya, 2004 Sesimbra, 2005 Porquerolles, 2006 Antalya, 2007 Sardinia).
